University Honor Roll.  David Gray presented the following proposal on behalf of the Academic Standards Committee.  He pointed out that there is a university honor roll policy in the catalog but it has not been utilized in the last several years.  Colleges and units have been recognizing students with their own honor rolls.  He stated the proposed policy change concerned the university honor roll only and the individual colleges and units could continue their honor rolls.  The policy was passed with one vote in opposition.

CURRENT POLICY

Honor Roll

Student with excellent grades will be recognized by being listed on the Honor Roll.  The Honor Roll will include those students who have both:

  • 30 semester credit hours earned in residence with a GPA of not less than 3.0

and

  • 12 semester credit hours earned in the current semester, not including pass-fail work, with a GPA for the semester of not less than 3.0
